“Sometimes it’s good to give the President his flowers,” Ndege said, before accusing the administration of having “really succeeded in corruption” and destabilising the economy.
She further claimed that the economic environment had become so difficult that investors were leaving Kenya, citing what she described as the high cost of operations.
Her remarks come amid continuing public debate over taxation, government spending, the cost of doing business and investor confidence.
Kenya’s economic outlook has also faced pressure from high borrowing costs and debt-related concerns, with analysts warning about vulnerabilities affecting government finances and future growth.
The criticism is likely to resonate with sections of the public who have repeatedly raised concerns about the cost of living and the burden placed on businesses.
