President William Ruto has declared that his administration is fully prepared for the upcoming political contest in August 2027, framing the race around competing ideas, policy issues, and transformative development programs.

Addressing residents during a public engagement stop in Kapsoit town, Kericho County, the Head of State asserted that he will not participate in political squabbles centered on personal rivalries or the distribution of government positions.

The President’s stop in Kapsoit formed part of his broader four-day working tour across the South Rift region, covering Bomet and Kericho counties.

Speaking to the gathered crowd, Ruto updated residents on the progress his administration has achieved since taking office and outlined bold, strategic measures currently underway to revamp the national economy, expand infrastructure, and uplift ordinary citizens.

He emphasized that true political competition should offer voters clear, practical solutions to systemic challenges rather than serving as a platform for political horse-trading.

During the tour, the Head of State highlighted major ongoing projects, including investments in affordable housing, local road networks, modern markets, and agricultural value addition.

He noted that his government’s focus remains firmly set on completing flagship transformation programs that directly improve local livelihoods and stimulate rural economies.

Challenging rival political movements to present their alternative policy blueprints to the electorate, Ruto expressed confidence in his administration’s track record.

He urged political figures across the divide to elevate national leadership debates above personality clashes, maintaining that the ultimate judgment in 2027 will rest on tangible results and transformative governance.
