Lawyer Miguna Miguna has strongly criticized former Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana over his vision for political renewal, sternly warning against elevating long-serving politicians as champions of national reform.
The public clash follows a statement by Kibwana suggesting that a broad coalition of emerging and veteran political figures must unite to rebuild the country.
Kibwana had listed a wide array of figures, including Edwin Sifuna, Babu Owino, Fred Matiang’i, Ndindi Nyoro, Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, James Orengo, Martha Karua, and David Maraga, arguing that these leaders, alongside the Gen Z movement and ordinary citizens, hold the key to nation-building.
Rejecting Kibwana’s proposal, Miguna firmly declared that Kenyans will not tolerate attempts to glorify individuals whom he characterized as dishonest and opportunistic political figures.
