City lawyer Donald Kipkorir has delivered a pointed warning to Edwin Sifuna and Babu Owino, suggesting that the growing political differences between the two could have serious consequences for both sides.

According to the lawyer, the two politicians still have an opportunity to avoid such an outcome by putting aside their differences and finding a way to work together. He argued that their political ambitions do not necessarily have to place them on a collision course.
“If Edwin Sifuna and Babu Owino fight, it will be Mutually Assured Destruction of their political careers,” Kipkorir stated.
His remarks come as political attention continues to focus on the relationship between Sifuna and Babu, particularly following Babu’s public support for Sifuna’s presidential ambitions while simultaneously pursuing his own bid for Nairobi governor.
The two have remained influential figures among opposition supporters, making their political relationship an issue of considerable interest ahead of the 2027 elections.
Kipkorir also warned against the influence of political loyalists surrounding the two leaders. In his view, personal ambitions and advisers could push them toward a confrontation that neither side would ultimately benefit from.
“Both can humble themselves and work together or let their egos and sycophants lead them to political oblivion,” he said.
The lawyer ultimately left the decision with Sifuna and Babu, stressing that the direction of their political relationship rests with them.
“Their choice is theirs alone to make,” Kipkorir concluded, leaving supporters watching closely to see whether the two leaders choose cooperation or confrontation.
