Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has responded to major political developments over the weekend, reflecting on his regional mobilization tour across Northern Kenya following high-profile opposition activities in Nairobi.
Addressing supporters after traversing Garissa and Tana River counties, the former Vice President declared that a powerful desire for national change continues to sweep across the country despite attempts by political adversaries to disrupt his movement.
Recounting the chaotic events in Garissa, Musyoka condemned the violent disruption where opposition gatherings faced stone-throwing youths, batons, and teargas.
He noted that the patriotic front demonstrated unwavering courage by standing firm and repulsing the violence, insisting that the resolve of peaceful citizens spoke far louder than any intimidation tactic deployed against them.
Continuing his tour into Tana River, the Wiper leader joined local residents in prayer at the historic site in Hola.
He praised the local populace for standing resilient against divisive politics, emphasizing that citizens refuse to be divided along clan, ethnic, or county lines.
Musyoka highlighted that communities across the region are increasingly united against state neglect, impunity, and the failure of government authorities to guarantee fundamental constitutional freedoms, including the right to peaceful assembly.
