In a strongly worded statement, the lawyer criticized the administration’s handling of what he described as sovereign assets, insisting that decisions made by the government will continue to face scrutiny in both the courts and the streets.
He specifically pointed to the controversial Safaricom transaction, saying that those opposing the sale of public assets would pursue legal avenues to challenge such decisions.
His remarks come as the government faces continued political and legal debate over the disposal and management of state interests.
The lawyer further accused the Ruto administration of operating with what he characterized as impunity and greed, while warning that citizens would not remain silent over the use of national resources.
His most striking statement was directed at the President’s leadership style. He argued that Kenya requires leadership focused on public service rather than commercial interests, using the phrase “merchant masquerading as a leader” to describe his view of Ruto.
The remarks are likely to attract attention because they come as opposition forces increasingly frame the 2027 political contest around governance, public resources and accountability.
The lawyer also declared that the political battle would continue both inside courtrooms and on the streets, while ending with a call for Ruto to serve only one term.
