Wiper Party Clears the Air: Kalonzo Musyoka Remaining in United Opposition
NAIROBI, Kenya — The Wiper Party has officially put to rest lingering speculation regarding former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka’s political future, firmly denying allegations that he is preparing to join President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration.
Speculation had intensified following claims by political commentators linked to the ruling coalition, who alleged that Kalonzo had held secret talks with President Ruto to negotiate a post-election deal or government inclusion.
However, the Wiper leadership moved swiftly to set the record straight, dismissing the reports as baseless political propaganda aimed at destabilizing the opposition.
Addressing the media, Kitui Senator and Senate Deputy Minority Leader Enock Wambua vehemently denied any behind-the-scenes negotiations between the Wiper party leader and the Head of State.

Wambua reassured supporters that Kalonzo remains fully anchored in the United Opposition and has no plans to join the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) or the broader Kenya Kwanza alliance.
“There have been no talks between our party leader, His Excellency Kalonzo Musyoka, and President William Ruto,” Wambua stated. “Kalonzo is steadfastly committed to working alongside other United Opposition leaders.
Our sole target is to present a strong, united front that will defeat the Kenya Kwanza government in the 2027 General Election.”
The Wiper Party maintained that Kalonzo is actively focusing on consolidating opposition unity.
Party officials emphasized that the former Vice President’s eyes remain firmly fixed on rescuing the country from what they described as harsh economic policies imposed by the current administration.
With the political landscape gradually heating up ahead of 2027, Wiper’s strong stance signals that Kalonzo Musyoka intends to remain a central pillar of Kenya’s opposition movement.
