Kalonzo Reemerges, Denies State House Ruto Meeting, Issues Stern Warning to Sifuna and Gachagua

NAIROBI, Kenya — Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has broken his silence following intense speculation online regarding his political movements, firmly denying claims that he held a secret meeting with President William Ruto at State House.

Addressing the public in a newly surfaced video, the Wiper Party leader set the record straight about his location, clarifying that he had been out of the country in neighboring Tanzania during the period in question.

Kalonzo dismissed the State House rumors as unfounded fabrications intended to create anxiety and misdirection among supporters awaiting his next political move.

Beyond clearing the air, Kalonzo delivered a blunt, uncompromising warning to key political allies—specifically ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua—cautioning them against making any overtures toward the current administration.

Emphasizing that the government is actively attempting to reach out to opposition figures, Kalonzo warned that agreeing to meet President Ruto or accepting state emissaries would prove fatal to their political credibility.

“Nikiskia that Edwin umekutana na Ruto, utakwisha. If my brother Riggy G ajaribu kukutana na Ruto, that will be end of it,” Kalonzo declared. “They are sending all kinds of emissaries, and anybody looking back will be a betrayer of national consciousness.”

According to the veteran politician, any attempt by political leaders to change course and compromise with the Kenya Kwanza administration would alienate the electorate permanently.

He argued that public trust is fragile, asserting that citizens would never forgive leaders who choose to strike deals behind closed doors.

Kalonzo’s swift clarification and strong stance underscore the escalating tension surrounding political realignments in Kenya, signaling his firm resolve to keep key figures aligned against government co-optation.
