NAIROBI, Kenya — Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has resurfaced after days of public absence, putting to rest swirling political rumors about his whereabouts and sending a clear message to his allies and critics alike.
The former Vice President’s temporary disappearance had sparked intense speculation across the political spectrum.
Proponents within the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition claimed that Musyoka was secretly holding high-level consultative meetings with President William Ruto at State House.
However, in a video message released following his return to the public eye, Musyoka firmly dismissed those allegations as baseless political propaganda aimed at destabilizing the opposition.

Reaffirming his unshakeable commitment to the opposition, Musyoka sent a spirited message to Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and the leadership of the Linda Mwananchi movement.
He urged the Linda Mwananchi initiative to intensify its grassroots mobilization efforts and fight even harder to challenge the current administration through democratic means.
“We remain firmly grounded in the united opposition. Anyone suggesting that we are negotiating to join the Kenya Kwanza administration is engaging in political wishful thinking,” Musyoka emphasized, reiterating that the ultimate goal remains unseating President Ruto at the ballot box in the 2027 General Election.
Musyoka praised the Linda Mwananchi team for standing firm against government excesses and maintaining pressure on behalf of ordinary citizens facing economic hardship.
His message comes at a crucial moment when political realignments are taking shape ahead of 2027, signaling that the opposition intends to present a unified front.
With his reappearance, Musyoka has effectively squashed rumors of a compromise with the state, rallying his base and reaffirming that the struggle for political change in Kenya remains firmly on course.
