Declaring his unwavering stance, Oparanya made it clear that he will not back Sifuna’s bid, nor will he ditch the current administration to rejoin the opposition coalition. He firmly asserted that he remains committed to working alongside President William Ruto.

Oparanya insisted that the Western region intends to support President Ruto “to the last man” heading into the 2027 General Election. He dismissed attempts to rally the region away from the government, emphasizing that the Luhya community’s interests are best served within the ruling administration.
