Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has urged supporters of President William Ruto to remain united and focus their efforts on securing the President’s re-election in the 2027 General Election, warning against political distractions that could derail the government’s development agenda.
Speaking during a public engagement, Kindiki said the Kenya Kwanza administration was committed to fulfilling the promises it made to Kenyans and called on elected leaders to prioritize service delivery instead of engaging in premature political battles.
The Deputy President emphasized that the country’s leadership should remain focused on improving the lives of citizens through ongoing development projects rather than being consumed by divisive political debates.
“Our focus should be on ensuring President William Ruto is re-elected in 2027 so that the development agenda can continue uninterrupted. We should not allow ourselves to be distracted by unnecessary political agendas,” Kindiki said.
He argued that the government’s economic transformation plan was beginning to bear fruit, pointing to investments in infrastructure, affordable housing, agriculture, healthcare, education, and job creation as evidence that the administration was delivering on its commitments.

Kindiki urged leaders allied to the ruling coalition to strengthen grassroots mobilization by engaging directly with wananchi and explaining the progress the government has made since taking office.
According to the Deputy President, unity within the Kenya Kwanza coalition will be critical as the country moves closer to the next General Election.
He cautioned against internal divisions, saying they could weaken the government’s ability to implement its policies effectively.
The Deputy President also appealed to citizens to evaluate leaders based on their development record rather than political rhetoric.
He maintained that the administration’s priority remains improving livelihoods through economic empowerment programs, better infrastructure, and expanded opportunities for young people and small businesses.
Political observers view Kindiki’s remarks as part of the ruling coalition’s broader strategy to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 elections.
His comments come amid heightened political activity across the country as various leaders intensify grassroots engagements and position themselves for the next electoral contest.
The Deputy President has in recent months maintained a busy schedule of development tours across different counties, where he has consistently defended the government’s policies and encouraged leaders to work together in delivering services to Kenyans.
As political temperatures gradually rise, Kindiki insisted that Kenya’s progress depends on stable leadership and continued implementation of government projects.
He reiterated that the administration remains focused on delivering tangible results and asked supporters to remain united behind President Ruto’s leadership.
With just over a year before the official campaign period begins, Kindiki’s call is expected to reinforce Kenya Kwanza’s efforts to rally its supporters while shifting attention toward development and preparations for what is shaping up to be a highly competitive 2027 presidential election.
