Ndindi Nyoro Warns Ruto Administration Against Attacking Uhuru
NAIROBI, Kenya — Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has issued a stern warning to President William Ruto’s administration, demanding an immediate halt to political attacks targeting retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking during a political engagement following the recent unveiling of his political movement, the People’s Party of Kenya (PPK), the high-profile lawmaker signaled a sharp escalation in his break from the ruling coalition.
Nyoro accused the Kenya Kwanza administration of abandoning its core economic promises to focus on unnecessary political vendettas.
Nyoro reminded the current regime that former President Kenyatta played no role in crafting the ruling party’s campaign promises.

“Uhuru Kenyatta was not part of this government’s manifesto. Targeting and attacking him was never part of the plan, and it serves only as a distraction from the government’s operational failures,” Nyoro declared.
He added that the retired Head of State served his term and exited honorably, deserving peace and respect rather than being used as a scapegoat for present economic shortcomings.
The Kiharu MP further stated that if the current leadership feels overwhelmed by the responsibilities of office or unable to fulfill its pledges to the electorate, it should consider stepping aside rather than shifting blame onto the previous administration.
Nyoro’s bold stance marks a significant shift in Mount Kenya’s political dynamics. Having formally parted ways with the ruling party to chart his own political path under the PPK banner, the MP is aggressively positioning himself as a key figure in national space.
His defense of Kenyatta underscores a growing willingness among newly aligned opposition voices to challenge the Kenya Kwanza leadership directly as political realignments intensify.
