Kindiki Declares Equal Development for All Counties, Reveals Next Big National Agenda

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to ensuring that every part of Kenya benefits equally from development, saying no region will be left behind as the country accelerates its economic transformation agenda.

Speaking during an afternoon interaction with residents at Irunduni in Tharaka Nithi County on Sunday, August 2, 2026, Kindiki said the Kenya Kwanza administration remains focused on delivering equitable and inclusive development through strategic investments in infrastructure and essential public services.

He said the Government is implementing projects across all counties without discrimination, ensuring that roads, electricity, markets, schools, health facilities and other critical programmes reach communities that have historically lagged behind in development.

According to the Deputy President, the administration’s approach is aimed at creating equal opportunities for all Kenyans while stimulating economic growth from the grassroots to the national level.

He noted that improved infrastructure and access to basic services are central to unlocking the country’s economic potential and improving the quality of life for citizens.

Kindiki also revealed that the Government is preparing to launch a nationwide conversation on Kenya’s long-term development priorities.

The initiative, expected to begin next week, will seek public participation in crafting a bold vision that will guide the country’s journey from a developing economy to first-world economic status.

He emphasized that the process will involve consultations with Kenyans from different regions and sectors, allowing citizens to contribute ideas that will shape the country’s future development agenda.

The vision, he said, will focus on sustainable economic growth, job creation, industrialization, improved public service delivery and enhanced competitiveness.

The Deputy President encouraged residents to continue supporting Government programmes, noting that inclusive development can only be achieved through collaboration between leaders and citizens.

He said public participation remains a key pillar in ensuring national policies reflect the aspirations of ordinary Kenyans.

During the interaction, Kindiki expressed satisfaction with the progress being made in implementing Government projects in Tharaka Nithi County.

He reiterated that the administration is determined to ensure development reaches every village, regardless of geographical location or political affiliation.

Residents welcomed the assurance that national development programmes would continue to expand across the region, expressing optimism that ongoing investments would improve livelihoods and create new economic opportunities.
