The political temperature in Westlands appears to be rising, and a recent closed-door meeting between former Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi and Edwin Sifuna has sparked fresh speculation about the shape of the 2027 political contest.

According to Havi, Sifuna summoned him and asked that they cooperate as he seeks to become the next Member of Parliament for Westlands Constituency.

“The President votes in, and will come from Westlands Constituency,” Havi stated, while explaining the significance he attaches to the constituency in the coming political battle.
The former LSK President disclosed that their discussions went beyond local politics, suggesting that they explored a broader strategy aimed at forming the next government.
He further claimed that their partnership could help deliver an overwhelming number of votes from Westlands, which he placed at about 162,000 registered voters.
