The attack in Homa Bay sparked widespread condemnation after state-sponsored goons disrupted the Linda Mwananchi rally.
The violence resulted in heavy losses, with several vehicles vandalized, numerous injuries reported, and the tragic death of a police officer amidst the clashes.
Video footage captured severe destruction, prompting growing concern over political intimidation targeting opposition movements.
Condemning the violence, Gachagua expressed solidarity with the affected residents and reassured them of his support. He pledged to visit Homa Bay County in the near future to address the community directly.
During the planned visit, Gachagua stated he will outline his stance and share key reasons why residents should vote President William Ruto out of office in the 2027 General Election.
Gachagua’s upcoming visit signals a significant realignment in political strategy, as leaders across regions unite against political violence and rally support ahead of the next electoral cycle.
