Speaking during a public function, Ruku accused Uhuru of fueling political hostility at a time when the country needs unity and stability.

The CS insisted that President Ruto was democratically elected by Kenyans and deserves support and respect from all leaders, including his predecessor.

Ruku warned that continued political attacks against the Head of State risk derailing development and deepening divisions among Kenyans.

He maintained that the Kenya Kwanza administration remains focused on transforming the economy, creating jobs, and lowering the cost of living despite increasing political criticism from opposition-linked figures.

The CS further claimed that some leaders were attempting to revive old political rivalries ahead of the 2027 General Election instead of supporting national progress.

According to Ruku, leaders should prioritize unity and issue-based politics rather than personal attacks and political confrontation.

His remarks come amid escalating political tensions between allies of President Ruto and figures linked to Uhuru Kenyatta and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The growing political realignments have triggered heated exchanges across the country as factions position themselves for future political battles.

The CS also challenged opposition leaders to offer alternative solutions instead of criticizing the government at every opportunity.

He said Kenya’s democratic space should not be abused to spread division or undermine national leadership.
