Siaya Governor James Orengo has firmly thrown his political weight behind Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as the preferred presidential flag bearer for the Linda Mwananchi movement.

The veteran politician moved to quell rumors of an escalating internal rift between the two leaders, reassuring supporters that the movement remains completely intact and focused on its core mission to liberate the country.

Addressing the crowd, Orengo directly called out political detractors who have been attempting to capitalize on minor internal contestations within the opposition ranks.

He warned that opponents are deliberately attempting to fracture the coalition by introducing tribal and regional divisions because they are well aware that they cannot withstand a unified political force at the ballot.

According to Orengo, the attempts to divide leaders along identity lines stem from panic over the opposition’s growing momentum.

He reiterated that Linda Mwananchi is built on shared principles and systemic governance reforms rather than opportunistic ethnic coalitions.

Orengo noted that his endorsement of Sifuna reflects a commitment to generational succession and strong ideological alignment within the progressive opposition camp.

He stressed that standing behind Sifuna is crucial for presenting a formidable, single candidate capable of challenging the ruling administration.

Sifuna welcomed the endorsement, reiterating that the movement will not be distracted by external political games aimed at watering down their cause.

Both leaders reassured the public that the trust bestowed upon them by ordinary citizens will be protected at all costs.

Ending on a high note, they promised Kenyans that the movement will remain steadfast in its promise, maintain absolute integrity, and never let down the people in their continuous fight for economic relief, justice, and democratic leadership.
