The Government will officially launch the second tranche disbursement of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) business start-up capital on June 27, 2026, in a move aimed at accelerating youth entrepreneurship and expanding economic opportunities for young people across the country.
The announcement was made on Monday at Harambee House Annex in Nairobi, where government officials reaffirmed their commitment to empowering youth through targeted financial support and enterprise development initiatives.
The NYOTA programme is one of the flagship interventions designed to address youth unemployment by equipping young people with the financial resources, skills, and mentorship needed to establish and grow sustainable businesses.
Through the initiative, beneficiaries receive start-up capital to launch enterprises in various sectors, including agriculture, technology, manufacturing, retail and the creative economy.
Officials said the upcoming disbursement builds on the success of the first tranche, which saw thousands of young entrepreneurs access funding to transform innovative ideas into viable businesses.
The second phase is expected to reach even more beneficiaries, particularly those in underserved and marginalized communities.
