NARK Kenya Party leader, Honorable Martha Karua has joined other Kenyans in condemning the president on the idea of building a church at the most protected area, the state house.
The President of the republic of Kenya, His Excellency William Ruto is facing pressure from Kenyans to stop the idea of building a church at State House, Nairobi.
A report from Daily Nation confirmed to Kenyans that, a church was being put up at State House at a cost of over one billion Kenya shillings. It was alleged that the President was determined to see the project through and that nothing was going to stop him from doing that.
Karua’s Statement In Mathira.
Well, speaking at the requiem mass of Gachagua’s Aunt Gathoni, in Mathira, Karua asked President William Ruto to focus on building churches outside the State House since that is a public office and not a personal property.
She continued by asking him to start by putting up Kiambaa church, a church that is associated with post election violence.
“The whole idea of building a church at the State House is not good. The President should focus on other things. He should build a Kiambaa church if he is so interested in putting up churches.” Said Martha Karua.

In 2007, many Kenyans lost their lives at Kiambaa church. They were burnt alive, while fighting to save themselves from attackers who were so determined to end their lives.
With Karua mentioning Kiambaa church and asking the President to build that too, has elicited mixed reactions online among Kenyans who were affected by the violence.
Gachagua’s Sentiments At Mathira Requiem Mass.
Her sentiments were echoed by other leaders present. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua asked Ruto to focus on the manifesto that they promised Kenyans. He asked him not to act like Kenyans are not watching keenly on what is happening.
The former Deputy President also alleged a plan being hatched to harm Kenyans who are planning to demonstrate. According to him, a section of leaders are holding meetings within the Mount Kenya region to plan violence. He called out Mathira legislator for being one of them.
