Here Are Higher Diploma Courses Offered At KMTC, Qualifications

One of the prestigious courses offered there is Higher National Diplomas. HND courses are offered to those students who have gone through vigorous diploma training for three years in various specialities and have practiced their craft for at least two years in busy Hospitals across the country. They must also be fully licensed by their various professional bodies in the republic of Kenya.

For one to be admitted to Kenya Medical Training college as a HND student. He or she must have a secondary school examination certificate, a photo of their national identity card, the picture of their professional certificates( diploma certificates)

They then move to create a Portal at Kenya Medical Training college admission portal( click here for the portal path). Here, they need to have a birth certificate number or identification number. The email address and a phone number that they will be communicated to.

The HND are spread across different professions namely;

Clinical Officers – Clinical Medicine.
Nurses- Nursing
Medical Laboratory technician/ Officers- Medical Laboratory course
Trauma and Medicine technicians- trauma medicine
Nutritionist- Nutrition studies
Morticians- mortuary science
Physiotherapists- physiotherapy studies.
Occupational Therapist – occupational therapy studies.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA FOR CLINICAL OFFICERS.

This is strictly for clinical Officers, those who did clinical medicine. Proceeded to their internship and are licensed with two years working experience.

Higher National Diplomas Offered At KMTC For Nurses.

Just like clinical Officers. Nurses must have qualified for the diploma training. The training takes about 3 to 3 and half years with vigorous training at hospital and in class.
