Nairobi Senator and former Orange Democratic Movement Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna concluded an intensive political tour in Western Kenya with a stop in Kabula Market, Bumula Constituency, Bungoma County.

Addressing crowds of local traders and residents at the commercial center, the lawmaker expressed gratitude to the community for their warm reception and unwavering support as he wrapped up his day’s engagements.

The senator’s visit to Bungoma County formed part of a broader series of public gatherings alongside leaders affiliated with the opposition alignment. Sifuna brought activities in Kabula to a standstill as traders, youth, and local residents gathered around his entourage to hear his address. The informal rally at the market provided a platform to interact directly with grassroots voters, listen to economic grievances from small-scale business operators, and reinforce the opposition’s agenda.

Sifuna’s message at Kabula highlighted the growing importance of the Western Kenya region in shaping upcoming political alliances. During his remarks, he thanked the people of Bumula for standing with the progressive movement, noting that sustained public engagement remains vital for driving meaningful political and economic change. Local leaders, including area representatives, accompanied the lawmaker, demonstrating solidarity and a shared commitment to addressing regional priorities.

The stopover at Kabula Market caps a busy schedule of public engagements in the region, where opposition leaders have intensified grassroots mobilization. Sifuna’s outreach underscores a calculated effort to strengthen regional ties, solidify support within traditional voting bases, and maintain momentum as political realignments continue to build across the nation.
