VIDEO: Babu Owino’s Moving Speech at Sifuna’s TEP Party Launch Leaves Supporters in Tears

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino, who also doubles as the leader of the Mwananchi Party, delivered an emotional and impassioned address during the official launch of The Equitable Party (TEP) in Nairobi.

The new political outfit, officially associated with Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna, was unveiled before a packed crowd of political allies, grassroots organizers, and supporters.

Addressing attendees, Babu Owino reflected deeply on the painful sacrifices made by leaders and ordinary citizens to sustain the Linda Mwananchi movement.

In a voice heavy with emotion, the lawmaker recalled the tragic losses suffered during their political rallies, leaving several audience members moved to tears. He recounted how ordinary Kenyans have faced extreme hardship, loss of life, and injury while fighting for justice and socio-economic equality.

“We have lost a lot of people in these rallies. The blood of innocent Kenyans has watered the tree of our liberation,” Owino remarked during his moving address.

He issued a stern warning to political opponents and critics who attempt to undermine or obstruct their public gatherings. Pointing out the toll of their struggle, Owino cautioned rival leaders against boasting about political dominance or trying to halt their momentum. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by ordinary citizens demand respect, not political arrogance or intimidation.

Babu Owino concluded his address by affirming his solid backing for Senator Sifuna’s presidential ambitions under the newly launched party. He reiterated that the Linda Mwananchi movement remains unwavering in its mission to restore constitutionalism, protect human rights, and return power to ordinary citizens across Kenya.
