The political storm surrounding the August 16 events in Homa Bay appears far from over, and now an angry legal threat has raised the stakes even higher.

Kaluma claimed KTN had become a propaganda tool while also alleging that Standard Media Group was facing financial difficulties. He further questioned the accuracy of reports concerning deaths and injuries allegedly linked to the clashes in Homa Bay.
His strongest criticism focused on claims surrounding a meeting involving political leaders and youths. Kaluma challenged KTN to produce evidence supporting allegations that youths were armed with crude weapons and prepared to attack their fellow residents.
He also questioned reports concerning ODM officials and youth leaders who, according to him, had been implicated without sufficient evidence. Kaluma demanded that the media outlet identify the alleged victims and provide proof supporting its reports.
The outspoken lawyer further accused KTN of failing to provide balanced coverage of the events, arguing that the station had followed political actors throughout the day but allegedly presented a one-sided account of what happened.
Kaluma also raised questions about the arrests made by police, claiming that some suspects linked to the violence had already been apprehended. He questioned why such developments were allegedly receiving limited attention.
The controversy has now moved beyond political exchanges, with Kaluma issuing a direct warning to the media organization.
