Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i today intensified his political mobilization efforts after officially opening the Jubilee Party Kirinyaga Branch Office at Ngomongo in Kirinyaga Central Constituency, signaling renewed grassroots momentum for the party ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The launch event attracted local leaders, party supporters, youth groups, and residents from across Kirinyaga County, with the gathering seen as part of a broader strategy to rebuild and strengthen the Jubilee Party’s political machinery at the county level.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Dr. Matiang’i emphasized the importance of strong political party structures, saying sustainable leadership and national transformation can only be achieved through vibrant grassroots networks.
He noted that the new office will serve as a key coordination center for party activities in Kirinyaga, helping to deepen engagement with wananchi, recruit more members, and strengthen the party’s presence in the region.
“Strong political parties are built from the grassroots. This office marks another important step in strengthening our presence, deepening engagement with wananchi, and preparing for a better Kenya together,” Matiang’i said.
The move comes at a time when political realignments are gaining momentum across the country, with various parties seeking to solidify their support bases in readiness for the 2027 General Election.
Political analysts view Matiang’i’s increasing visibility in grassroots political activities as a sign of his growing influence in national politics and possible future ambitions.
