Nairobi – Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has left Kenyans talking after revealing what allegedly went on at Orange House when the late Raila Odinga was still alive.

Speaking on his Facebook page, Edwin Sifuna said that during his eight years as ODM Secretary General, he was constantly threatened with dismissal.

He also claimed he was never paid for the role, insisting he served the party entirely on a voluntary basis.

The revelation has sparked a wave of reactions online, with many Kenyans expressing shock while others debate what it says about the internal workings of Orange House under Raila Odinga’s leadership.

Sifuna was unceremoniously removed and replaced as ODM Secretary General by Busia County Woman Representative Catherine Omanyo.

The decision did not sit well with him and fellow party rebels Hon. Carol Omondi, Hon. Babu Owino and Hon. James Orengo.

Together, they formed the Linda Mwananchi initiative and have been campaigning on that platform. They have formed the TEP party, expected to transition into the Linda Mwananchi Movement Party.

Edwin Sifuna 2027 Presidential Bid

Political observers expect Sifuna to use the new party to challenge President William Ruto for the presidency in the 2027 General Election.

His latest claims are likely to shape the political narrative, with supporters praising his sacrifice and critics questioning the timing of the disclosure.

As the race draws closer, all eyes remain on Edwin Sifuna and the growing Linda Mwananchi movement, as Kenyans wait to see whether the online buzz can translate into votes in the 2027 General Election.
