All eyes are now fixed on Kasarani Stadium as the political atmosphere continues to heat up following the dramatic return of Democracy For The Citizens Party (DCP) leader Hon. Rigathi Gachagua from the United States of America.
The DCP leader made a memorable entry into the country on Thursday evening, where he was received at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) like royalty.

His arrival drew massive crowds, with allies and supporters thronging the airport, waiting patiently to welcome him home.
Clad in cowboy attire reminiscent of American seasonal musicians, Gachagua appeared determined to make a bold political statement.
His choice of outfit, observers say, was meant to reflect both resilience and defiance, especially at a time when his relationship with the Kenya Kwanza administration is strained.
The grand reception, however, was not without drama. Tension erupted when police officers reportedly attempted to disarm a member of his security detail with an intention of arresting Gachagua.
The standoff escalated into a brief scuffle, with Gachagua’s loyalists shielding him before he was whisked into his motorcade. Moments later, just a few meters from Cabanas along Mombasa Road, chaos erupted after unidentified goons began pelting stones at his convoy.
The violence forced Gachagua to abandon his planned address to supporters at Kamukunji Grounds, a move seen as both a tactical retreat and a bid to avoid further confrontation with authorities.
Despite Gachagua’s withdrawal, his allies led by DCP Deputy Party Leader Hon. Cleophas Wakhungu Malalah, together with senators John Methu and Joe Nyutu, proceeded with the rally.

They seized the moment to mount a scathing attack on President William Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza administration, accusing them of using police intimidation to silence the opposition.
Malalah, in his characteristic fiery style, declared that President Ruto would not serve beyond one term. He warned that the DCP is ready to mobilize a nationwide movement to send the head of state back to Sugoi in 2027.
“The people are tired of intimidation, tired of economic hardship, and tired of betrayal. The clock is ticking for this administration,” Malalah thundered, drawing applause from the restless crowd.
With political temperatures already high, focus now shifts to Kasarani Stadium, where Gachagua is expected to make a highly anticipated appearance.
According to a poster shared by Malalah, the DCP leader will attend an upcoming football match between Kenya and Madagascar.
Malalah was quick to stress that the event is not a political forum but rather a patriotic gesture by Gachagua, who will be standing in solidarity with Kenyans to cheer on the national team.
Nevertheless, analysts believe Gachagua’s presence at Kasarani will carry deeper political undertones.
