Matiang’i said he visited the school together with Nyoro, where they spent time with students and teachers and encouraged them amid challenges affecting the education sector.
In his remarks, the former Education Cabinet Secretary placed education at the centre of his broader vision for Kenya. He argued that reforms should focus on protecting the dignity, welfare and aspirations of both learners and teachers.
“The reforms we initiated during my tenure in the Ministry of Education provide a foundation upon which we can build,” Matiang’i said, stressing the need to strengthen and expand existing measures to address current realities.
