A viral video circulating across social media platforms captures the dramatic moment the vibrant legislator stepped in to protect a law enforcement officer who was caught in the crossfire during the political gathering.
In the brief clip, the motorcade is seen moving along a crowded highway as an unidentified individual addresses the gathering.
The atmosphere abruptly turns tense as an injured police officer, bleeding from visible head wounds after being struck by a stone, is seen clinging dangerously to the side of one of the moving vehicles in the convoy.

Noticing the officer’s distress, MP Babu Owino immediately took charge of the situation. He grabbed the microphone from the speaker and urgently instructed the occupants of the vehicle to stop and pull the injured officer safely inside.
“Let him in! He is injured, let him get into the car!” Owino can be heard shouting over the public address system, ensuring the officer was safely sheltered from the chaotic crowd.
The swift action prevented further harm to the officer, who was subsequently rendered immediate assistance before being conveyed for medical care.
Kenyans across the political spectrum have commended the lawmaker’s decisive leadership and compassion, noting that his quick thinking likely saved the officer from severe trauma or worse. The event has sparked broader discussions regarding safety, peace, and the protection of security personnel during high-capacity political rallies across the country.
