Political temperatures across the vounyis gaining momentum as leaders try to align themselves ahead of the forthcoming general elections to be held in August next year.

Kiharu MP Hon Ndindi Nyoro found himself in a bad angle after he decided to dump the ruling United Democratic Alliance Party and firm his own Peoples Party Of Kenya. A move that angered many politicians.

Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot has launched a fiery broadside against Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro, laying bare deep divisions within the ruling coalition over national resource allocation and fiscal policies.

In a scathing statement posted on social media, the Kericho Senator openly called out Nyoro’s recent economic assertions and challenged his stance on key government initiatives. Cheruiyot began by ridiculing Nyoro’s criticism of the transition from the defunct health fund to the new medical framework.
“Assistant Chief tribalist, Mr Ndindi Nyoro, what did you say again? That NHIF had a higher monthly collection than SHA? Like seriously!” Cheruiyot written, openly questioning the Kiharu MP’s figures.

The Senate Majority Leader then turned his focus to the contentious securitization of the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF), pointing to what he characterized as blatant double standards. Cheruiyot questioned Nyoro’s newfound opposition to the scheme, accusing him of benefiting from the exact financial mechanisms he now publicly condemns.
“When did you suddenly realise that it was wrong to securitize RMLF? Yet as budget chair you appropriated its proceeds to your constituency in disproportionate scales. Spare the country your hypocrisy,” Cheruiyot stated.

Concluding his critique, Cheruiyot took aim at systemic resource distribution, alleging that selective allocation has long disadvantaged other regions. He noted that efforts to institutionalize equitable sharing across the nation were meeting resistance from former beneficiaries.
“When greed & marginalisation is normalised, then equity & fair distribution becomes such a bitter pill to swallow,” he declared.

The sharp exchange marks a heightened point of political friction within Parliament, exposing rift lines over government borrowing, healthcare revenue structures, and constituency-level fund disbursements.
Hypocrisy MUST end in this country – Sen Cheruiyot destroys Ndindi Nyoro over his recent remarks!!
