President William Ruto has reiterated his administration’s commitment to building an inclusive government that reflects Kenya’s diverse communities, maintaining that every Kenyan deserves equal representation regardless of their ethnic, religious, or regional background.

Speaking during an engagement at State House, the President said national unity remains one of the pillars of his administration, emphasizing that leadership should bring citizens together rather than divide them.

He noted that the government has a constitutional and moral obligation to ensure that all communities have a voice in national affairs.

Ruto said inclusivity is essential for fostering national cohesion and strengthening public confidence in government institutions.

According to the President, no Kenyan should feel excluded from opportunities or decision-making processes because of where they come from or the community they belong to.

He stressed that appointments to public offices and government programs should reflect the country’s diversity while ensuring that competence and merit remain central in the selection process.

The President added that Kenya’s progress depends on the participation of all its people, arguing that development can only be achieved when every region feels represented and involved.

The Head of State also urged leaders across the political divide to embrace unity and reject divisive politics based on ethnicity or religion. He said political competition should not come at the expense of national harmony, calling on elected leaders to prioritize the interests of citizens over partisan considerations.

Ruto maintained that his administration will continue implementing policies aimed at reducing inequality and expanding opportunities for marginalized communities.

He pointed to ongoing investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, affordable housing, and economic empowerment initiatives as part of the government’s efforts to ensure balanced development across the country.

The President further observed that an inclusive government strengthens democracy by giving every Kenyan a sense of belonging. He said citizens are more likely to support national development when they feel recognized and fairly represented in public institutions.

His remarks come at a time when discussions around national unity, equitable resource distribution, and representation continue to dominate Kenya’s political landscape.

Questions over regional balance in public appointments and access to government opportunities have remained key issues in public discourse.

Ruto insisted that his government will remain focused on serving all Kenyans without discrimination, reaffirming that inclusivity is not merely a political promise but a guiding principle of his administration.

He called on citizens to reject narratives that promote division and instead work together towards building a united, peaceful, and prosperous nation.

The President concluded by saying that Kenya’s greatest strength lies in its diversity, expressing confidence that an inclusive approach to governance will accelerate development, deepen national cohesion, and create equal opportunities for present and future generations.
