Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed made a definitive political declaration regarding his loyalty to the Orange Democratic Movement and its former party leader.

Addresssing the public on matters surrounding party succession, unity, and political defense, the National Assembly Minority Leader declared that his unwavering protection was reserved strictly for veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga.

He emphasized that having offered his total allegiance to the late party patriarch, he cannot shield or protect anyone else on this earth again.

The remarks highlight a profound shift within the opposition coalition as leaders navigate the political landscape without the unifying presence of their longtime leader.

For years, the Suna East legislator stood as one of the most prominent defenders of the party, frequently taking the front lines to shield political strategies and handle national discourse on behalf of his principal.

By stating that his role as a ultimate political shield concluded with that singular relationship, the lawmaker signaled a personal retreat from acting as a default defensive guard for new emerging factions or competing interests within the party fold.

Political analysts view the statement as both an affirmation of absolute loyalty to the former leader and an intentional boundary set for current political alliances.

The declaration underscores the challenge facing the party as various leaders attempt to consolidate power or claim mantle pieces following a period of transition.

While remaining a key figure within parliament and party leadership, the lawmaker made it clear that future political engagements would operate under new dynamics, as the unique bond of total political defense he extended in the past remains exclusive to one individual.
