The attack on Senator Osotsi sparked outrage across the political divide after reports emerged that unidentified individuals allegedly assaulted the lawmaker during a public event in Vihiga County.

In a statement, Omollo dismissed the accusations as propaganda aimed at tarnishing his reputation and creating unnecessary political tension in the region.
He maintained that he had no involvement whatsoever in the incident and challenged those making the allegations to provide evidence.
“I categorically deny any connection to the unfortunate attack on Senator Godfrey Osotsi. These claims are false, reckless and intended to mislead the public,” Omollo said.
The PS further called on security agencies to carry out independent investigations into the incident and ensure those behind the violence are arrested and prosecuted according to the law.
