Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma Explains How Ruto Is Achieving Kenya’s Singapore Dream

Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has explained why he believes President William Ruto is steadily moving Kenya toward the Singapore development model.

Kaluma, a vocal supporter of the Broad-Based Government, has repeatedly defended Ruto’s development agenda and urged Kenyans to focus on economic transformation.

The legislator says the government’s projects across different parts of the country demonstrate progress toward building a modern and prosperous Kenya.

According to Kaluma, Ruto’s administration has introduced projects targeting various sectors, including infrastructure, housing, healthcare, education and economic empowerment.

He argues that these initiatives are helping address the needs of different sections of the Kenyan population.

Kaluma has previously described the Singapore dream as achievable, arguing that Kenya has the potential to become a first-world country through clear vision and focused implementation.

His comments come as the government continues promoting long-term infrastructure investment as a key part of Kenya’s transformation.

The National Infrastructure Fund has also been presented as part of the government’s broader strategy to finance major development projects.

Kaluma has urged Kenyans to support the government’s development programmes, saying political differences should not derail the country’s economic ambitions.

He has also linked the current partnership between President Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to the implementation of development priorities associated with their cooperation.

Kaluma maintains that the Broad-Based Government should remain focused on delivering projects rather than political disagreements.

He has previously said the partnership should extend beyond 2027, citing Raila’s counsel on pursuing development through the arrangement.

The MP believes Kenya’s journey toward the Singapore model will require patience, investment and sustained implementation.

His position adds to the growing political debate over President Ruto’s economic transformation agenda and whether current government programmes can deliver the promised long-term development.

For Kaluma, the focus should remain on projects and policies that can improve the lives of ordinary Kenyans and position the country for stronger economic growth.
