Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed concerns over the absence of his fellow United Alternative Government co-principals during the launch of his presidential campaign platform, insisting that their failure to attend was neither a sign of division nor a weakening of the opposition alliance.
Speaking after unveiling his campaign roadmap, Kalonzo said the coalition leaders who were not present had prior commitments and remained fully committed to the broader opposition agenda aimed at challenging President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.
The former Vice President emphasized that the event was specifically organized as a Wiper Patriotic Front activity and therefore did not require the attendance of all coalition principals.
He noted that each party within the alliance retains its individual political programs while working together on common national objectives.
“There is absolutely no cause for alarm. Our colleagues were engaged elsewhere, and we remain united in our mission. This was a Wiper event and not a coalition summit,” Kalonzo explained.
The launch attracted hundreds of supporters and party officials who gathered to witness the unveiling of what Kalonzo described as a people-centered campaign platform focused on economic recovery, youth empowerment, job creation and governance reforms.
Political observers had questioned the absence of key opposition figures, with some interpreting it as a sign of possible cracks within the coalition.
However, Kalonzo dismissed the speculation, arguing that opponents were deliberately attempting to create a narrative of disunity where none existed.
He maintained that the coalition leadership continues to hold regular consultations and remains focused on building a formidable political machine capable of unseating the Kenya Kwanza administration.
According to Kalonzo, the opposition alliance is currently engaged in intensive grassroots mobilization across the country and will soon unveil joint programs aimed at strengthening cooperation among member parties.

The Wiper leader also used the occasion to reaffirm his presidential ambitions, saying he was fully prepared to offer leadership that would address the challenges facing ordinary Kenyans, including the high cost of living, unemployment and concerns over governance.
“Our focus is on presenting solutions to the problems affecting Kenyans. Leadership is about service, and we are determined to provide an alternative vision for the country,” he said.
His remarks come at a time when political activity is steadily increasing ahead of the next election cycle, with various opposition leaders seeking to consolidate support in different regions.
Despite persistent speculation about succession politics and coalition dynamics, Kalonzo expressed confidence that the opposition would remain united and eventually rally behind a common strategy designed to maximize its chances of success in the 2027 presidential contest.
