Prof. David Monda raised concerns over what he described as an unusual development involving the Principal Secretary responsible for communications.
According to Monda, the PS was forced to hold a press conference to explain and articulate Ruto’s United States trip.
Monda argued that such a move was highly unusual, suggesting that presidential communication teams traditionally play a central role in explaining a president’s foreign engagements, schedules and key messages.
“The PS had to call a press conference to articulate Ruto’s trip to the US. This is unprecedented and highly unusual,” Monda said, according to remarks aired during Citizen Weekend.
His comments have placed fresh attention on how information surrounding the President’s international engagements is being coordinated and presented to the public.
