Among those who joined the People’s Party fold were Michael Kiarie, Kimone Kimone, Boniface Kibiro, George Winner, Antony Njamu, White Gichuru, George Ndungu, Justin Mwaniki, Kiragu Muriithi, Zipporah Kamau and Antony Karanja.
The growing list also includes Women Representative aspirants Elizabeth Njeri Maina and Gladys Wanjiru Maina, alongside several MCA aspirants from Kiambu, Murang’a and Nyandarua counties.
They include Rufus Gakobo Mboko, Beatrice Wambui Mburu, David Kamau, Joseph Chege Njeri, Samuel Ngugi Kibe and Ann Waigumo Kimotho.
The development signals an expanding political network around Nyoro as the country moves closer to the 2027 General Election. Ndindi Nyoro played a major role in Ruto’s election back in 2022 and with him out of the equation it will be tough for the president William Ruto.
Mt Kenya region votes are crucial in the upcoming elections and anyone who has presidential ambitions will have to take the block more seriously as voting nears.
