Speaking during a recent engagement on health sector development, Nassir emphasized that the collaboration between the national government, county leadership, and partners is already yielding tangible results.
He noted that the ongoing investments are not only improving infrastructure but also restoring confidence in public healthcare systems.
The governor pledged his administration’s full commitment to ensuring that newly established health facilities become fully operational and accessible to residents.
According to Nassir, the county government is focused on putting in place the necessary staffing, equipment and management systems to guarantee efficient service delivery.
“We are grateful for the support we continue to receive. Our responsibility now is to ensure that every investment translates into better healthcare outcomes for the people of Mombasa,” Nassir stated.
A key priority for the county, he said, is strengthening maternal and child health services, an area that has long required urgent attention.

By improving access to quality prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care, the county aims to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates significantly.
Nassir highlighted that the expansion of hospitals and upgrading of existing facilities will help ease congestion in major referral hospitals, ensuring patients receive timely and quality care.
He added that community-level health services will also be enhanced to promote preventive care and early treatment.
