Kericho Teacher Found Dead Near Kimugu River
Police in Kericho have launched a homicide investigation after finding the body of missing educator Martina Chepkemoi Ruto dumped near the Kimugu River. Investigators confirmed the deceased suffered five deep chest stab wounds, strongly indicating she was murdered elsewhere before being abandoned.
Ruto, who taught at Lalagin Senior School in Bureti constituency, was reported missing on August 26 after leaving her Abosi home for work. Her sudden disappearance sparked an intense, multi-day community search that ended in tragedy on the outskirts of Kericho town.
