He argued that some leaders were more interested in shaping public perception through misinformation rather than addressing pressing service delivery challenges affecting residents.
The governor maintained that his administration has prioritized key sectors including road infrastructure, water supply, healthcare, and agricultural support, insisting that tangible progress is visible across different wards.
He said ongoing projects are aimed at improving livelihoods and ensuring equitable distribution of county resources.
Wamatangi further claimed that critics of his administration have failed to present alternative development plans, choosing instead to engage in political rhetoric.
He urged leaders in the county to compete on ideas rather than engaging in what he described as empty propaganda wars that do not benefit citizens.

The governor emphasized that his administration is open to accountability and constructive criticism, but only when it is grounded in facts and aimed at improving governance.
He said county officials are ready to engage with stakeholders, including political opponents, as long as discussions remain focused on development priorities.
Wamatangi’s remarks come amid growing political tension in Kiambu, where competition for influence ahead of future electoral cycles is beginning to take shape.
Several political actors in the county have recently stepped up public engagements, with some questioning the pace and impact of county projects.
Despite the criticism, Wamatangi expressed confidence that his administration will meet its development targets and leave a lasting legacy for residents.
He reiterated that his focus remains on service delivery rather than political distractions, adding that leadership should be judged based on results rather than rhetoric.
As political temperatures continue to rise, Kiambu County remains a key battleground for emerging political alignments, with leaders increasingly using public forums to outline their achievements and challenge their opponents’ narratives.
Wamatangi concluded by urging unity and cooperation among leaders, saying that development can only be achieved when politics is set aside in favour of practical solutions that address the needs of ordinary citizens.
