President Donald J. Trump has announced that Dan Scavino, a longtime aide and Deputy Chief of Staff in the Trump Administration, will assume the role of Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office (PPO). The appointment was revealed in a statement from the President earlier today.
I am pleased to announce that the great Dan Scavino, in addition to remaining Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, will head the White House Presidential Personnel Office, replacing Sergio Gor, who did a wonderful job in that position, and will now become the Ambassador to India,” President Trump said in his announcement. “Dan will be responsible for the selection and appointment of almost all positions in government, a very big and important position. Congratulations Dan, you will do a fantastic job!”
Scavino, one of Trump’s closest confidants since the 2016 campaign, has been a key figure in shaping the administration’s communications and digital outreach. His promotion places him at the helm of one of the most influential offices in the White House, overseeing the recruitment and vetting of senior government officials.
Sergio Gor, who previously led the PPO, will transition to his new role as U.S. Ambassador to India, a significant diplomatic appointment reflecting his years of service and loyalty to the administration.
The White House praised both men for their dedication and contributions. Political observers noted that Scavino’s expanded portfolio underscores President Trump’s continued reliance on trusted allies as he shapes his administration’s next phase.
