His early education began in 1993 at St. Teresa’s Isanjiro Primary School before he transferred to Moi Primary School in Bungoma, where he completed his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 2001.
Despite excelling in academics, Busiega maintained a grounded childhood, often spending weekends tending his grandfather’s livestock a responsibility that taught him patience, hard work, and a connection to his rural roots.
In 2002, he joined St. Mary’s Kibabii High School, a Catholic institution known for academic rigor and discipline, where he completed his secondary education in 2005.

Busiega’s legal journey began at Moi University, where he undertook a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. His university life was not confined to lecture halls; he actively participated in student politics, honing leadership and public speaking skills that would later define his professional and political career.
In 2012, he joined the Kenya School of Law, where he earned his Postgraduate Diploma in Law, and in 2014, he was officially admitted to the bar as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
From the onset, Busiega showed a deep commitment to pro bono work and community empowerment. He collaborated with organizations such as the Legal Aid Centre of Eldoret and the Christian Legal Education Aid and Research (CLEAR).
His initiatives included organizing free legal aid clinics in the Malava sub-county, ensuring that vulnerable members of society had access to justice.
Professionally, Busiega built his experience by working in some of Kenya’s most respected law firms. These included Khaminwa & Co. Advocates, Wetangula, Adan & Makokha Advocates, and Kithi & Co. Advocates.
In each, he handled high-stakes litigation and complex legal disputes, earning a reputation for meticulous preparation and persuasive argumentation.
Eventually, he founded his own firm, Busiega Mwanga & Co. Advocates, specializing in appellate work at the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
His credentials further include certification as a mediator and arbitrator, enabling him to handle disputes both in and out of court.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Busiega continues to advance his education. He is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Democracy and Governance at the University of Nairobi a course of study that aligns seamlessly with his aspirations to serve in Parliament.
His decision to join the Malava parliamentary race is seen by many as a natural extension of his service to the public.
