The event attracted political, religious and community leaders from across the Rift Valley region, with speakers calling for unity, peaceful coexistence and continued development in the country.

The golden jubilee celebration was characterized by prayers, worship sessions, choir performances and tributes honoring the church’s contribution to the spiritual and social growth of the community over the last five decades.

Among the leaders who accompanied Gideon Moi were Erick Mutai and former Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot Tungo. Several local leaders and clergy also attended the event, which drew large crowds from Bureti and neighboring areas.

Speaking during the service, Gideon Moi praised AIC Kusumek for its long-standing role in nurturing moral values, supporting families and promoting peace within the region. He noted that churches remain critical pillars in society, especially during difficult economic and social times.

The KANU chairman urged leaders across the political divide to embrace dialogue and unity, saying Kenya’s progress depends on leaders working together for the benefit of ordinary citizens.

He also encouraged young people to remain focused, disciplined and committed to building a stronger future for the country.

Governor Erick Mutai commended the church leadership for organizing a successful golden jubilee celebration, describing the anniversary as a major milestone for the Christian community in Kericho County.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to working closely with faith-based organizations in promoting education, health and community empowerment programs.

Former Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Tungo also lauded the church for mentoring generations through spiritual guidance and community outreach initiatives.

Religious leaders who addressed the congregation challenged political leaders to uphold integrity, humility and servant leadership. They further called on Kenyans to maintain peace and national unity despite political differences and economic challenges facing the country.

The celebrations ended with special prayers for the nation, leaders and the local community, as congregants commemorated the church’s 50-year journey of faith and service.

The event also featured fundraising activities aimed at supporting future church development projects.
