The Kiambu County government has accused a group of political leaders of orchestrating a coordinated campaign to discredit Governor Kimani Wamatangi through false information on social media.

In an official statement, the governor’s office condemned the alleged campaign, emphasizing that residents deserve accurate and factual information.
The public should not be misled by deliberate attempts to distort the truth for political gain,” the spokesperson said. “Such actions not only harm the integrity of governance but also risk creating unnecessary divisions within the community.”
County officials claim that the misinformation targets both the achievements and decisions of the county leadership, ranging from development projects to service delivery initiatives.
