Interior CS Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen has harshly criticized Tana River Governor Dhadho Gaddae for disrespecting national government officials.
The outspoken Cabinet Secretary accused the governor of immaturity in leadership and focusing on unnecessary political drama.
Murkomen stated that Governor Dhadho Gaddae spends more time attacking national leaders instead of delivering services.
He emphasized that the governor’s approach was hurting Tana River residents, who deserve tangible development.
Speaking during a public event, CS Murkomen urged the governor to adopt a mature and respectful tone when addressing national leaders.
He condemned the repeated verbal attacks on senior government officials, terming them childish and unproductive.

The Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen accused the governor of showing open disrespect to Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
This followed an incident where Gaddae reportedly interrupted and criticized Mudavadi during his official county visit.
Murkomen said such behavior from an elected leader was a total embarrassment to the people of Tana River County.
He urged the governor to maintain decorum and political discipline, reminding him that leadership demands humility.
According to Murkomen, the governor should channel his energy toward solving local problems instead of staging drama shows.
He challenged him to focus on development projects such as roads, education, and healthcare improvements.
The Cabinet Secretary for Interior insisted that Gaddae must learn to work with the national administration for progress.
He noted that cooperation between county and national governments was key to accelerating regional development.
Murkomen also reminded Governor Dhadho Gaddae that other governors engage the President through dialogue, not confrontation.
He advised him to seek an audience with President William Ruto rather than resorting to public outbursts.

The Interior CS further stated that true leadership means seeking solutions, not spreading blame across government institutions.
He said responsible leaders engage in constructive talks, not political theatrics that divide the country.
Murkomen accused the governor of seeking cheap popularity through public fights and media attention.
He said real transformation happens when leaders collaborate with national authorities to attract investments and projects.
The Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen reaffirmed the national government’s commitment to supporting all counties equally.
However, he warned that continuous disrespect from local leaders could jeopardize development partnerships.
He urged Tana River leaders and residents to rise above divisive politics and embrace unity for growth.
Murkomen concluded by urging the governor to demonstrate maturity, accountability, and respect toward the national leadership.
The bold rebuke from CS Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen has sparked national debate on county-national relations in Kenya.
